Growing up as a Catholic, I was taught to fast during lent. All that meant to me was to not eat meat on Friday's, but what I did then, I don't consider fasting now. We ate shrimp, fish and crawfish - by no ways in that abstaining! As a newly born again Christian, I am discovering so much more spiritually, and everything is so enlightening. I researched fasting and heard so many wonderful things that fasting can bring. As I begin my new journey, I have many unanswered questions for which I need guidance from Jesus Christ! So today, I began my first fast. And, yes, I am scared, but also excited to have this alone time with my Saviour!

My Beautiful White Shirt ![]()
I was so excited, when my wonderful husband asked, if I would like to go on a double date with some friends Saturday night. What’s the 1st thing we start doing ladies? That’s right, we start trying to figure out what we will wear, I had my heart set on a white shirt, and I decided to take a trip to the mall in hopes to find a white shirt to wear with my skirt.
I shopped all day looking for this white shirt, finally!! After exhausting hours of shopping, (have you ever shopped in the mall)? Then you know it’s exhausting, I came across this white shirt with a beautiful lace front, I thought to myself this is the shirt, finally! I could leave the mall, my search was over. Headed home, mission accomplished!
As all women do, when we get home we have to try it own, Right Ladies? Prance around in the mirror, to make sure it fits just right. As I was spinning around in the mirror showing my new white shirt to my husband, He said babe, I replied yes, he said there is a stain on your shirt. I reply excuse me? He says I hate to tell you this, but sweetie there is a stain on your shirt. I franticly take off the shirt, and there it was a STAIN. After becoming frantic about this stain, I regain my composure and think, Well, I have some great stuff to remove this stain, I run to the wash room, and pull out our stain remover, this stuff takes off everything! It has never failed me yet, start to rub it on, I continue to rub, rub, rub some more, this stain wasn’t even fading. I know this stuff will work, it will come off. While rubbing, I started thinking to myself, I can’t wear this shirt if this stain doesn’t come off, and how could I wear this out on our dinner date? People will see this stain, there is no way to hide it, finally I realize this stain isn’t going to come off, nothing will work; I realize this stain is permanent. Upset, because I wanted to wear this white shirt, Oh, I thought, I will just keep it and wear it to work in the yard; No one see’s the stains when I am working in the yard.
How often in life does this happen to us? We think no one can see our stains? When we go to church we dress one way, when we return home to lounge around or work in the yard, we put back on the cloths we are most comfortable in?
Which would mean: we have two sets of wardrobes, Clean and blemish free, Torn and stained. Certain places we choose to wear each. Can we really have two wardrobes? Why? Does this truly work? How long can we hide? Can we really have two images? I mean come on who will know anyway!
This my dear Sisters and Brothers is exactly what’s going on in the church today, when I say Church I am talking about the Body of Christ and the Christian Life. This story is not an actual story, but it’s what happens on a daily basis in our lives. As I was reading in Isaiah God gave me this revelation to share with the church, which means the body of Christ. My question to God was, Lord how do you want me to share this revelation? He said write. But, I don’t even know how to put commas and periods in the right place, again he replied write. As I started to write he continued to flow the words.
God says we can’t hide the stains from him; we spend more time trying to hide them, instead of laying ourselves at the throne of Grace, Confessing our sins before the Lord and allowing God to forgive us. We can hide our stains from our friends and family, Do we care more of what they think, then God? If so, we have put them 1st above God and made them and idol. We can only have one wardrobe…. After reading these scriptures which one do you have? He is waiting for us to confess to him our sins…Repent and turn away from our sins.
Isaiah 43:25 " I - yes, I alone - will blot out your sins for my own sake and will never think of them again."
Eph 4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness…..
Col 3:10 And have put on the new [man], which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
Mat 9:16 No man putteth a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up taketh from the garment, and the rent is made worse. (We can’t have two)
My friends I have some good news, We don’t have to try and rub the stains away, we don’t have to hide anymore, For the Lord our God says this to us…
Isa 1:18 ¶ Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
Isa 1:19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
It’s time church to STOP hiding and worrying about what someone else thinks, the ONLY thing that matters is what GOD thinks!! How pretty we think we are, what clothes to wear, what we own, None of this matters to God, We are all beautiful to God, He sees our heart. Not our outer appearance, when we are being truthful, and confessing our sins to him. The day is coming that Our Lord is Coming Back for us!!
My Prayer
Father, help us not to hide, Help us oh Lord to be truthful to ourselves and to you, God thank you for your words of conviction, I myself have received and lay myself at your throne of Grace, Help all of us to acknowledge what your light is exposing, within us to receive your truths and be truthful to ourselves, Oh Lord, forgive us for our sins, turn not your heart from us, but clean us, God in your righteousness…
In The Mighty Glorious name Of Jesus I ask… Amen!
Remember that Stain I thought was permanent?
Be obedient to the Lord, even when you fill inadequate to do what he is asking of you…..
Be encouraged and allow the Lord to make all the changes within you daily…..Remember it’s a daily walk
Walk in victory with Jesus!! Your Beautiful on the inside !!
Love You in JESUS Name

Studying in the book of Ruth, I came across this word, WINNOWING, In what way could you see God winnowing something in your life?
1.to free (grain) from the lighter particles of chaff, dirt, etc., esp. by throwing it into the air and allowing the wind or
a forced current of air to blow away impurities.
2.to drive or blow (chaff, dirt, etc.) away by fanning.
3.to blow upon; fan.
4.to subject to some process of separating or distinguishing; analyze critically; sift: to winnow a mass of statements.
5.to separate or distinguish (valuable from worthless parts) (sometimes fol. by out): to winnow falsehood from truth.
6.to pursue (a course) with flapping wings in flying.
7.to fan or stir (the air) as with the wings in flying.
Mat 3:12 "His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor and gather his wheat into the barn, but the chaff he will burn with unquenchable fire."
Have fun, meditate , allow the Holy Spirit to speak to you
Be Blessed ![]()
